Highland Woodworking 1/2 inch Straight Router Bit – 1/2 inch shank

The thickness of the jig template requires a longer shank. Therefore, we recommend using the 8mm shank bits over the 1/4″ shank bits because the increased shank diameter offers 60% more shaft strength.
