Veritas Prairie Dog – Pair

The Veritas Prairie Dog is the stop that is always in place, ready to deploy whenever needed, yet out of the way when it’s not needed. At the press of a finger the Prairie Dog pops out of its hole and locks into position about 5/16″ proud, ready to serve as a planing stop. Press it again to retract it back into its dog hole out of your way.

Body is made of 3/4″ solid brass rod. Its spring mechanism can be height adjusted to fit bench holes 2 to 2-1/2″ deep. To use in a through hole, mount an included stop plate to the underside of the bench for the dog to rest on, where it is held in place by a rare earth magnet. The stop plate can pivot out of the way to allow the hole to be used for other purposes. For use in a blind hole, a washer is countersunk at the bottom of the hole.

Sold in pairs. Optional extra stop plates are available as a set of 4 to allow the Prairie Dogs to be used in multiple holes.
