Lie-Nielsen Small Chisel Plane No. 97-1/2

Lie Nielsen’s Small Chisel Plane never fails to turn heads with the cutting edge of the iron at the very front of the plane, it functions like a paring chisel with depth control. This uncommon plane is typically used to clean right up to the end of a rabbet after bullnose and rabbet planes have done most of the work.Chisel planes also work very handsomely as trim planes for cleanly flush-cutting pins, tails, through tenons or plugs, and for paring away dried glue squeeze-out.The small bronze plane is 6-1/2 inches long x 1-3/4 inches wide.Bed angle is 12° for clean cutting especially on end grain.
