The RTS 400 REQ designed for finish sanding of flat surfaces. It’s light-weight and easy to operate one-handed so it’s great for sanding vertical or overhead surfaces with minimal fatigue. It’s small enough to sand inside an assembled cabinet. Using the included edge guard, you can sand close to adjacent vertical surfaces withoutcausing damage. Its 80mm x 133mm (3-5/32″ by 5-1/4″) pad makes quick work of most small finish sanding jobs.
The RTS 400 has a stepless variable speed motor with Festool’s Multiple Material Control (MMC) technology.MMC is an electronic controller that ensures the sanderwill maintain the speed you choose – even under load.We recommend you use the RTS 400 REQ with a dust extractor . If that’s not possible, Festool offers dust collection bags that fit directly on the dust port. For heavy users of the RTS 400, Festool offers an Abrasive Storage Systainer designed to hold the sandpaper for this sander. For sanding slightly curvedsurfaces, Festool offers the 490160 Interface Pad . It fits in between the sandpaper and the sander pad toprovide a bit of cushion.

The Delta Orbital Sander weighs in at only 2.4 lbs so you can easily run it with one hand. Stepless variable speed and MMC (Multiple Material Control) technology ensure that you can select the seed you want and the sander will maintain that speed – even under load. We recommend you use the DTS 400 REQ with a dust extractor, but Festool offers dust collection bags that fit directly on the dust port. For heavy users of the DTS 400, Festool offers a Systainer designed to hold the sbarasives to fit this sander.
