Festool 150mm Polishing Sponges

Polishing sponges are used to apply polishing compounds . The polishing works best on the Rotex RO 150 FEQ 6 inch Dual Mode Random Orbit Sander . Be sure to use the gear-driven Rotex mode and the appropriate polishing pad. 150mm polishing sponges will also work on the RAP 150 Shinex Polisher (now discontinued).

The pads are color-coded to match with the appropriate polishing compounds. Each pad uses a different foam construction to match the appropriate polishing compound. Using matched sponges and compounds ensures optimum performance. It also makes it easier to avoid mixing compounds on one pad.

Sponge types

All of Festool 150mm polishing sponges are 30mm (1-3/16″) thick. All are available individually or in packs of 5.

• PS STF D150x30 OR – Orange— Orange (medium) sponges are used with MPA 5010 compound.
• PS STF D150x30 BL – Blue— Blue (medium-fine) sponges are used with MPA 9010 compound.
• PS STF D150x30 WH – White— White (fine) sponges are used with MPA 11010 compound.
• PS STF D150x30 BA W – Black— Black waffled (very fine) sponges are used to apply high gloss polishes && sealants, as well as final polishing.
