Double Outside Calipers are designed for measuring the wall thickness of turned vessels, especially closed form bowls and vases. When you close one end of the caliper on the wall of your bowl, you can read the thickness at the other end of the caliper.

3″ caliper is 3-1/4″ from the pivot to the measuring tips. Maximum measuring depth is 2-3/4″.

5″ caliper is 5-1/4″ from the pivot to the measuring tips. Maximum measuring depth is 4-3/4″.
