Biber Classic Swedish Carpenter’s Hatchet

Mueller calls this a hatchet, but it seems more like an axe to us. It’s based on an old Swedish design and has a 3.1 lb head. The cutting edge is 7-1/8″ long and is available in straight (double-bevel), left-bevel or right-bevels. Left- and right-bevel heads are bent to angle the handle in the direction of the bevel – to keep your hands clear of the surface you are cutting. The hickory handle is 23-3/4″ long.

Like all Mueller Forge tools, this axe is hand-forged in Austria.
