Auriou 9 inch Curved Drawknife

Auriou’s high quality, hand-forged tools have pleased discriminating woodworkers for generations. Auriou’s latest tool creation is a large, curved-blade drawknife and it is sure to become a favorite in your green woodworking tool box. In fact, on Roy Underhill’s last visit to our store, we put this tool in his hands for a test spin on the shave horse and he was effusive with his praise about how it performed. The 9″ long curved blade has a gentle radius and an effective blade angle that gives fast, controlled cutting. Turned 5″ walnut handles with brass ferrules are spaced 13-1/2″ apart on center at the blade. The handles splay out slightly to aid in comforting your arms and shoulders when using for long periods. This drawknife comes honed and ready for use. Weighs 1.2 lbs.
